Product FAQ

How accurate is the Cashmaster?

The Cashmaster employs five independent techniques to ensure absolute accuracy when counting currency. The software was developed using data concerning the weights of 40 million used bills. A computer model of these bills was created to simulate billions of bills being counted on the machine. The result, after a long development exercise allows us to give an assurance that the Cashmaster, when properly used to count typical worn, used and sometimes torn or scotch taped bills remains accurate.

How long will the machine last?

The Cashmaster has no moving parts and will give a long trouble free life well in excess of 35 million weighing cycles. For depreciation book keeping purposes we suggest a 7-10 year life span. There operational Cashmaster machines in use that are over 16 years old.

What about new coin and bill issues?

We cover this eventuality by the use of a plug in component that takes less than 10 seconds to install via an SD card. This means you will never need to worry that the Cashmaster will become obsolete.

Bills get torn and taped, how do you stop errors?

We have several special and unique features not found in other machineswhich ensures that when a damaged/repaired note is encountered, the count remains accurateThere is also an intelligent learning process built into the Cashmaster that compensates for seasonal changes due primarily to humidity effects. Another technique is employed which we call e-mode error detection.

What about vibration and air currents causing errors?

The Cashmaster should always be operated in an environment that minimizes these effects. However the Cashmaster does protect against both of these effects by use of an additional error detection program and special seals throughout the machine.

Who uses the Cashmaster?

More than 100,000 Cashmaster machines have been sold. They are in use in 43 countries around the world and have been supplied to Banks, Supermarkets, Grocers, Fast Food, Hotels, Schools, Cinemas and every type of business that has to count cash.

Can the Cashmaster be connected to a PC?

Yes, all of the Cashmaster models can connect to a PC or host computer system, in fact about 30% of machines sold are interfaced to a host computer or cash management system.

What about a printer, can it be connected and is it useful?

Yes, we recommend that our printer be combined with the Cashmaster. Time and cost savings will be further enhanced. Bank charges may also be reduced when a printout is attached to a deposit.

I need to count coupons, tokens and vouchers will it work for me?

Yes, the Cashmaster can count anything within the specified weight limits.

Can the Cashmaster count anything else besides bills and coins?

Yes, the Cashmaster can count anything within the specified weight limits.

How reliable is the machine?

Reliability is exceptional. No moving parts means no maintenance. Unlike friction counting machines (mechanical coin counters and note counters), there is nothing to jam, clean or lubricate.

How much time can be saved?

The Cashmaster saves a a great deal of time. Most U.S. major fast food chain reported savings of between 45 to 60 minutes per day for each manager. Typical savings are 30 minutes to over 2 hours per day giving an average payback time of 6 months or better.
